Cultivar Origin:

Plant was originally from a batch of tissue cultured gloriosum. It appeared typical, in juvenile form. As this plant matured, there were some obvious mutations. With each maturing leaf, the 'ears' of the plant began to curl inward, and the texture of the leaf turns from velvety into more leathery, with some discoloration (light-green/white). Initially thought the plant was sickley, but it continued to grow rapidly with no signs of pest or disease.
Next we propagated it using pup and sectoral propagation. Each subsequent propagation also bore the same characteristics as the Mother plant.

Name Origin:

It's reference to the appearance of turbine engine

Growth Habit:

Crawling rhizome. "ground-crawler"

Leaf Blade:

Juvenile: velvety green leaves with prominent white veins. Occasional flecks of variegation.
Mature: Leathery green leaves with elongated/oval leaves and curled ears. An almost pointillism patterning can be appreciated on the leaves, along with the prominent white veins.

Bloom and Fruit:

Green spadix and white spathe

Distinguishing Characteristics:

Leathery green leaves with elongated/oval leaves and curled ears. An almost pointillism patterning can be appreciated on the leaves, along with the prominent white veins.
