It is the result of a cross made in Ecuagenera, between Anthurium forgetii from Colombia and Anthurium luxurian from Ecuador.
Name Origin:
Named in honor of David Portilla, son of Alexander Portilla, nephew of José Portilla Executive President, founder and shareholder of Ecuagenera.
Growth Habit:
Plant of terrestrial growth of intermediate to warm climate, intermediate shade with high humidity, adapts very well to growing in pots with a mixture of coconut powder 80% and pumice rock 20%.
Leaf Blade:
Leaves 26 x 16 cm, brownish green, deltoid, apex acuminate, cordate at the base, open sinus, has lost the closed form of the sinus and the characteristic coloration of the whitish lines on the leaf.
Bloom and Fruit:
Las flores de color amarillento, espata color blanco verdoso, 6 x 1,5 cm ápice estrechamente acuminada y doblada hacia adelante, semi cordata en la base, espádice similar color 5,5 x 0,5 cm Semilla no vista.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
Al ser el resultado del cruce de dos especies, no se asemeja a otras especies, en este caso la mas similar es Anthurium luxurians que es la predominante tanto en la abertura del sinus como en la coloración.
