Cultivar Origin:

Name Origin:

Anthurium ‘Medusa’ is a rare mutation of Anthurium forgetii × luxurians, named for its uniquely twisted, curling foliage that resembles the flowing hair of the mythical Medusa. Its elongated leaves display dramatic movement and rich texture, creating a striking sculptural appearance. An exceptional collector’s plant, each leaf develops with its own distinctive form, making every specimen truly one of a kind.

Growth Habit:

Anthurium ‘Medusa’ grows in a compact. As an epiphytic to hemiepiphytic species, it develops a robust, fast-growing root system that firmly attaches to surrounding surfaces while efficiently absorbing moisture and nutrients.

Leaf Blade:

The heavily textured surface inherited from luxurians combines beautifully with the elegant shape of forgetii, while the mutation transforms the foliage into cascading ribbons that twist and curl in every direction.

Bloom and Fruit:

Anthurium ‘Medusa’ produces attractive inflorescences featuring a bright yellow spadix paired with a delicate green spathe.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

unusual growth pattern characterized by elongated, twisted, and undulating leaves unlike its siblings.
