LEGACY CULTIVARS

A Legacy Cultivar is a horticulturally significant cultivar (select form/sport/hybrid) that predates the IAS Cultivar Registry, and whose originator is deceased or unable to complete formal registration.

Legacy Cultivars are compiled and accepted by the International Aroid Society based on documented history, published descriptions, and/or verifiable specimens in cultivation. They are acknowledged in order to preserve nomenclatural stability and recognize the cultivars' place in Aroid horticulture.
