Cultivar Origin:
Name Origin:
As passionate collectors of Scindapsus, we wanted to create something that would stand the test of time—something that embodies our unwavering dedication to these beautiful plants. “Scindapsus Legacy” is more than just a name; it symbolizes our goal of leaving a lasting impact on the world of rare foliage. This plant represents the journey, passion, and commitment we’ve invested in cultivating and sharing the beauty of Scindapsus, ensuring that its legacy lives on and inspires future generations of plant enthusiasts.
Growth Habit:
Scindapsus Legacy thrives in a well-draining aroid substrate, with optimal temperature conditions ranging from 28°C to 30°C and relative humidity levels between 60% and 80%. The plant exhibits favorable growth under both natural photoperiods and artificial grow lighting. For indoor cultivation, irrigation should be performed on a weekly basis or as needed, depending on the substrate's moisture levels, whereas outdoor specimens require bi-daily watering to maintain adequate hydration.
Leaf Blade:
Scindapsus Legacy is distinguished by ovate leaves with a cordate base and an acuminate apex, arranged in an alternate phyllotaxy along the stem. The leaves exhibit pinnate venation with entire, smooth margins. The leaf blade has a thick, trichome-rich, and velvety texture. The smallest leaf reaches 3.5 inches in length and 2.25 inches in width, while the largest extends up to 6 inches in length and 3.5 inches in width. The foliar coloration transitions from vibrant yellow to green and silver, demonstrating significant variegation.
Bloom and Fruit:
None observed.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
Unlike the typical characteristics of Scindapsus exotica, Scindapsus Legacy leaves are notably thick and velvety, exhibiting a striking combination of marble and splash variegation with vibrant yellow pigmentation. The leaf size is larger compared to other Scindapsus varieties, though the characteristic silver streaks present in exotica are consistently visible throughout the leaf blade. The stems are smooth and feature distinct longitudinal yellow striations, mirroring the coloration observed on the leaf blade.
